Technical FAQ

Does Thunderhawk Performance offer any parts for the new 2017 Mule SX models?

Yes, we have a full-line of parts and accessories for the Mule SX. You can view the Kawasaki section of our website, where you can select your Mule SX model to see all available parts.

Do any parts for the Mule 610 fit the larger the 3000-series or 4000-series Mules?

No. The Mule 610, 610XC & 600 is built on a completely different chassis and these parts will not fit the larger Mules.

Somebody told me that I could use regular RZR part on my RZR 570. Is this true?

That depends. Some RZR 800 parts do fit the RZR 570, but others do not. Thunderhawk Performance has trial-fit our parts to determine which ones fit the RZR 570 and we have created a separate RZR 570 Section on our website featuring the parts that fit the RZR 570.

I just bought a RZR XP900 to replace my old RZR 800. Can I remove my Thunderhawk parts from the RZR 800 and install them on the new RZR XP900?

No. The chassis and suspension of the RZR XP900 is completely different from the RZR 800. The parts will not interchange.

I just bought a new RZR XP1000 to replace my older RZR XP900 (or RZR 800). Can I swap the parts onto my new RZR XP1000?

No. The RZR XP1000 is an all-new vehicle. Once again, Polaris has designed a new chassis and suspension, so parts for the other RZR's will not fit.

I have a Ranger 500. Is this considered a Mid-Size Ranger or a Full-Size Ranger? What parts do I order for mine?

2010 & older is a Full-Size Ranger 500

2011 - 2013 is a Mid-Size Ranger 500

In general, the parts for the Full-Size and Mid-Size Ranger 500 do not interchange. To further add to the confusion, many parts suppliers have parts listings that simply specify Ranger 500 (without noting the year or the chassis). Thunderhawk Performance has our Mid-Size Ranger parts and our Full-Size Ranger parts divided into separate sections on our website to avoid confusion, and the model years and engine sizes are listed for all Ranger applications.

I have a Ranger 800. Is this considered a Mid-Size Ranger or a Full-Size Ranger? What parts do I order for mine?

This one's trickier than the Ranger 500 question above.

All 2012 & older Ranger 800's are a Full-Size Ranger.

2013 & newer Ranger 800's could be either Mid-Size or Full-Size.

One easy way to tell these apart is whether the hood is hinged to open separate from the front fenders & headlights (Full-Size) or whether the whole hood, fender & headlight assembly is hinged to flip up as one piece (Mid-Size).

I have a Ranger 570. Is this considered a Mid-Size Ranger or a Full-Size Ranger? What parts do I order for mine?

Polaris doesn't make this easy, do they?

2014 Ranger 570's are a Mid-Size Ranger.

2015 & newer Ranger 570's could be either Mid-Size or Full-Size. In 2015, Polaris added the 570 engine option to the Full-Size Ranger line, which further confused things as both Mid-Size and Full-Size Rangers are commonly referred to as a "Ranger 570".

I have a Mid-Size Ranger 570. Will parts for the Mid-Size Ranger 400/500/800 fit the Mid-Size Ranger 570?

That depends. Some Mid-Size Ranger 400/500/800 parts will fit the Mid-Size Ranger 570, but many others will not. Thunderhawk Performance has created separate sections on our website for the various years and models of Mid-Size Rangers, with each specific section featuring only those parts that fit that particular model of Mid-Size Ranger. This eliminates any guessing when ordering Mid-Size Ranger parts on thunderhawkperformance.com
